Greetings and welcome to new tenants and owners of Somerset Gardens. A new season, new activities in sight, and here is the latest of your condo news.
Smoke-Free Building - There are signs that some individuals are still using the rooftop & common entrance area as a smoking area. We ask those individuals to please respect the rules. Smoldering cigarette butts are fire hazards and we hope that in itself this should be enough of a deterrent. Residents are reminded that unless grandfathered, smoking in the units or on balconies is not permitted, please refer to Rule 19 available anytime on the condo’s website for further details.
Water Alarm Devices – A reminder to all residents that the battery in your water alarm should be replaced on an annual basis. These alarms take one standard size 9-volt battery. If you still have not picked up a water alarm for your unit, please contact the property manager at lmarples@condogroup.ca
Elevator Bookings – A reminder to all residents to refer to the Owner’s Manual with respect to booking the elevator for deliveries or moving. The property manager must receive your request 2 weeks prior to your move or delivery date as well as complete reservation forms and a damage deposit cheque.
Cardboard & Recycling- We would like to ask all residents to please ensure cardboard boxes are broken down and flattened prior to putting them in the yellow bin outside. This will ensure there is room for all cardboard to fit without overflowing the bin for others.
Composting/Green Bins - during the January 2017 owners meeting, a suggestion was made to seek the feasibility of having composting and green bin use at Somerset Gardens. The Board is looking for volunteers to investigate these options further and present their findings to the Board for consideration and review. If interested, please email the board.
