All of the halogen bulbs in the common areas, including both garages have now been replaced with energy efficient LED bulbs.

This initiative will result in significantly reduced hydro costs and our investment will be recovered within six months.

In addition, the cost of cooling the common areas in the summer will be reduced as LED bulbs produce less heat.

Hydro is very expensive. Please remember to turn out the lights in the garbage, garden, locker and bicycle rooms when you leave.

Condominium Management Group has replaced our Property Manager,

Mr. David Caldwell, with Ms. Liz Marples of that company, effective August 1, 2012.

Ms. Marples has many years experience in condominium management, and the Board of Directors looks forward with pleasure to its association with her.

She can be reached at the CMG office, (613) 237-9519, Extension 231 or by e-mail at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .

Our new bike parking system is now in place.

We have moved from a system of bike storage to bike parking for those who use their bikes regularly. All spaces in the bike room and on the south wall of P1 are or will be assigned by application to the Board.

All bikes must be mounted on assigned racks and not left on the floor.

If you wish to apply for indoor bike parking, please contact the Property Manager.

The Board of Directors would like to remind parking unit owners as well as residents renting or using the parking unit that Section 3.3.1 of our declaration prohibits the use of a parking space for any purpose other than parking a motor vehicle and/or bicycle.  Accordingly, storing personal property is your parking unit is prohibited at all times.

Please make alternative arrangements if you are storing any personal property within your parking unit in the P1 parking garage, including anything related to a vehicle.

Thank you for your co-operation.

Interested in Helping Out?

Are you interested in helping to make our Condominium an even greater place to live?

There are many opportunities for you to get involved, such as:

  • Organizing social events
  • Helping with newsletters to owners and residents
  • Joining one of our committees (Gardening, House or Communications)

The Gardening committee is responsible for recommending plans for the front and rooftop gardens to the Board.

The House committee is responsible for planning and presenting furniture and decor plans to the board for approval, then seeking out quality options for purchase.

The Communications committee ensures community news is circulated as regularly as possible.  They also have helped organize the odd social event.

If you are interested in getting involved, we'd love to hear from you.

Also, if you are interested in joining the Board of Directors, at least one position opens up each year. Again, contact us if you'd like to learn more.

Security Reminder

Please remember to be vigilant to help maintain the security of our Condominium.

In particular, please remember:

  • Be mindful of any strangers following you in as you enter the front door. If someone follows you who you don't know, just be friendly and ask if they live here. As well as helping to keep our building secure, it's a great way to meet your neighbours.
  • Likewise, please watch for anyone following you into the garage
  • If you are moving in, please do not leave the door propped open unattended

If you become concerned about a suspicious individual, please contact the property manager or the police, do not confront them yourself.

Garbage and Recycling Reminder

In order to avoid problems, it is important for everyone to remember these important points:

  • Do not place cardboard boxes or any large items down the garbage chute. Such items can easily become lodged partway down and block the chute.
  • Bring all glass recycling down to the recycling area, rather than dropping them down the chute.
  • Only refundable beer and alcohol bottles left in the garbage rooms will be picked up, please take all other recycling downstairs.
